Summer Time Beach Totes with Prima's Seashore Collection!!!

Hello there crafters!!  It's Brandi here popping in to share some projects I recently made using the fabulous Prima Seashore Collection in store!!

Summer is in full swing here in the Sunshine State which means warm HOT weather, tons of sun, and weekend trips to the beach!!  And what better way to celebrate summer than with these fabulous beach totes?!?

This is also my second entry to the Creative Embellishments June Challenge.  The challenge is to draw inspiration from the following photo:

I just love this picture and everything about it!!  Being raised in the Sunshine State means salt water runs through my veins!! ;-)  I was simply drawn to the nautical theme!!!

Aren't they adorable?!?  I used my Cricut Explore machine and some purse SVG's from SVG Cuts to cut everything out!  Then I scored and inked all the appropriate edges and started putting it all together :-)

I added several chipboard pieces from the coordinating chipboard pack, inking all the edges along the way :-)  I also used some of the Petaloo flowers (which match this collection PERFECTLY!!) in store to add some detail!

I finished the bags with some hemp cord, and the large tote with some lace form my stash!

Easy peasy, right?!?  And perfect for this time of year :-)

Well gang...  Thanks so much for stopping in and have a LUCKY day :-)

Week 4 sketch at LGS!!!

Hello everyone!!!  Just a quick post today for the fabulous new sketch up at Let's Get Sketchy!!!

Here's a look at this week's sketch:

I just had to use these yummy Paper House Productions products we received to create my page:

These paper are definitely "out of my comfort zone" but I am happy with the finished product!
The first thing I decided to do was add thread around the page much like a "starburst" effect...  LOVE IT!!!!!

Then, I added on my papers according to the sketch, inking the edges along the way.   I used a white uni-ball pen from the Frosted Designs Store to create faux stitching around one of the papers!

I finished the page with the fabulous 3D embellishments...  Aren't they adorable?!?!

Well gang...  Thanks so much for popping in and have a LUCKY day :-)

Capture the Moment Altered Clock with Prima's Time Traveler Collection!!!

Hey there fellow crafters!!!  Stopping by the blog today to share an altered clock I made recently for my hubby's birthday!!!  I used June' gorgeous "Capture the Moment" kit from Frosted Designs and other products from previous month's kits as well!!!

Here's a look at the finished piece:

I've wanted to do one of these for quite some time.  The colors and patterns in this kit made it perfect to finally get it done!
I first printed out a clock on one of the Prima papers from the kit and adhered it to the backing of the clock.   I grabbed various embellishments from the kit and my stash and added them around the piece.  This picture was taken on my husband's 28th birthday so the little number piece was perfect!!!

I grabbed some trim and buttons, as well as some brads and added them for detail.  I used the Perfect Pearls mist in this month's kit to add color to the chipboard heart from last month's kit, then used the paint pen from last month's kit to add dimensional dots!

I finished the inside with one more brad that says "Us" and a flower tucked behind the picture!

Here's a look at the complete inside piece:

Now for the hard part....  Getting the clock to look old...  very old!!!!  I wanted an antiqued look and it took me some work!  I first coated the entire clock (which was a bright silver!!!) gesso.  Once dried, I started adding various mists (Lindy's and Dylsuions in store) and using my finger to spread them around.  I added a top coat of Luminarte Silks in Copper Brown for more color and some shine!

I then wrapped some film strip ribbon around the whole clock!

I embossed and misted some grungeboard from my stash, then added it to the piece with a button and some hemp cord.

I distressed the flowers with ink then added them with some brads and flair around the outer edge.

I finished the clock with a key and metal sentiment from my stash and put it all together!

I've said it a hundred times that Frosted Designs kits are soooo versatile! This is just one of many things I've created using only ONE kit!!!

Well gang...  Thanks so much for stopping in and have a LUCKY day :-)

New Card Sketch live at Sketch N Scrap!!!

Hello there crafters!!!  Quick post today to share the new card sketch at Sketch N Scrap!!!

Here's a look at Card Sketch #28:

I know I said I was finished with the Simple Stories "Homespun" collection from the Frosted Designs Store, but I still have just a bit left to play with :-)

Here's my card:

I kept this card pretty simple, following the sketch well!!!  I used one of the "solid" red papers from the collection as my base, then layered up stripes of paper and some stickers!  I inked up all the edges of my paper using some distress ink!  I added the heart confetti and added faux stitching using a white gel pen!

I scored the hearts down the center and only glued down the center, leaving the edges "floating" about!

I used word stickers from the collection to create my sentiment and added the chipboard mason jar!

Easy peasy!!!

Well gang...  Thanks so much for stopping in and have a LUCKY day :-)

Isn't it lovely?!?  The NEW Prima Seashore Collection in store was perfect for this challenge!!!!

I also used the month's card sketch from Cardabilities:

Here's a look at a card I made:

I'm truly in love with the colors and soft patterns in the collection!!!
I started with a Kraft Base for my card and began cutting up the papers I wanted to use, inking the edges of each with Prima's Knotted Wood ink.  After layering up my papers, I started adding some coordinating chipboard pieces, inking them up as well!

I used the word stickers from the collection to create my sentiment, adding various other stickers and a metal clip also!

I finished the card with a dragonfly I created using the new Prima Wire Thread in store!!!  This stuff is really fun to play with... The possibilities are endless!!!!

So there you have it!!!  A quick and easy card using nothing but wonderful products from the Frosted Designs Store!!!

Well gang...  Thanks so much for stopping in and have a LUCKY day :-)
