New Sketch N Scrap Card Sketch and 2 Broke Girls Challenge!

Hello friends!!! It's been a super hectic weekend but I decided to make a little time and share a couple of things with you today :-)

First on the list... Sketch N Scrap card sketch #9 is up and running!!!! Here is the sketch:

And here is a birthday card I made using Crate Paper "Party Day" paper line:

Isn't it adorable?!?  I used a black Sharpie to outline all the pieces and topped it off with a little ribbon and a pearl!!! Simple, yet sweet (no pun intended!!!!)!!!

Also, 2 Broke Girls Scraps has their new sketch up as well... Here it is:

I wanted to make a page for my husband and what better paper to use than Tim Holtz?!?  Here's my inspiration:

One of my new FAVS to use is the "Sprockets" die by Spellbinders and I have certainly put them to good use!!!  I have some "crafter's" metal pieces that I ran through the Grand Calibur and ended up with these marvelous real metal gears and sprockets!!!! AMAZING!!!! Knowing how much I like to use metal, I also added some upside down bottle caps with sticker letters cut for the inside, metal arrow brads that I painted with a silver paint Sharpie, and a metal pocket watch piece designed by Tim Holtz.  I topped it off with some tissue tape and a couple of stamps for the background.  Looks like a "manly" page to me?!?  Hahahaha!!!!

DON"T FORGET!!!!!!  2 Broke Girls has a month-long sketch-a-thon going on with FANTASTIC prizes so stop by and check it out!!! There are SEVERAL sketches to be completed and tons of inspiration to get your mojo going!!! I also completed the first sketch... Here's a look:

I made this layout also using the Crate Paper "Party Day" paper line... LOVE IT!!!!!  This was also entered into the Fabulous Friday challenge over at Frosted Designs where the challenge is to include numbers on your project:

I followed the sketch quite literally, adding a few minor changes.  Embellies are by MME and Soft Spoken.  I've been wanting to do a page with buttons for a while and thought this sketch perfect for that challenge!!!  This is my oldest daughter with her father at Disney World earlier last year!

Another page I wanted to share is one that I made using a handmade doily from a previous post.  I inked  and misted it, then added it behind the photo.   Here's a look:

This is from the American Crafts "5th and Frolic" paper line.  I also did some fussy cutting with the flowers and hearts.  I finished it with Liquid Pearls to add detail.

Okay... Thanks for staying with me... Just a couple of more things and I'm done... I swear!!!!!

The last layout I completed was for Sketches4All.  The challenge was to include wood and twine on your project.  Here's what I've come up with:

I started with papers from the DCWV "Rustic" paper line.  I added the clock and the wood word piece and made the twine through the tag at the top.  I also used my Xacto knife to hand-cut the starburst from pattern paper, then used spray glue to add it to the background piece.  These pictures were taken at my husband's birthday earlier this year.

Alright.. ONE MORE!!!! This is a card for the month long DT challenge over at Sketches4all.  Your challenge is to create a school themed project using this sketch:

I decided on making a card for my daughter's teacher using American Crafts "5th and Frolic" papers and various stamps...

I used my Spectrum Noir markers and some paper piecing techniques to complete this Back To School card.

Well, gang... Thanks sooo much for stopping in... Have a LUCKY day :-)
