Now to show you MY favorite things!!!!
I LOVE using the Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Sprays from Frosted Designs!!!  They are truly sooo much fun to work with!!!!  So, I created a a page to show you that mists are NOT just for you paper!!!!  I also used the March Sketch challenge over at Creative Embellishments (inspired by the floating petals to the left of their inspiration page!), AS WELL as some of their FABULOUS chipboard on my page!
Here's a look:

I started with the Authentique "Flourish" Collection in the store and some layering.  I used the Circle Template (Another one of my FAVS!) and some of the sprays, as well as various inks, to create the background.  I added some layers of gesso over areas for a more "muted" tone.  Then, I used the Tim Holtz "Dot Fade" stencil from last month's kit and some molding paste colored with Lindy's Magicals to finish my background effects!

I layered on tons of flowers and embellishments, applying gesso and the mists for added color!  The round metal buttons were coated with gesso, then misted with LSG sprays until I achieved my desired colors!

I added Creative Embellishments chipboard behind my photo mats that was embossed with the Tim Holtz Black distress powder in this month's kit!

I finished with some chipboard by 7 Gypsies that I clear embossed with a polka dot stamp by Stampin Up! and some versamark ink.  I coated it generously with Lindy's Mist for a beautiful, rich teal color!!!!!

Now, I ALSO have a GIVEAWAY here for you lucky crafters!!!!

Colorful Creations "Spring Fling" Blog Hop!!!!

Welcome to the Colorful Creations Spring Fling Crop! I don’t know about you but the ladies here at CC are ready for some sunshine... how about you????

To help us get ready to usher Spring in, we decided to have a "Spring" themed Blog Hop... so all the projects you find along the hop will be themed around Spring!!!  Make sure you visit each DT member’s blog!

You should have come from Toccara‘s blog, if not, please go back to the Colorful Creations blog to start the hop from the beginning.

Since this is a "Spring" Blog Hop, I decided to do a little "Spring Cleaning" and make a little organization piece with "Spring" colors:

Here is a set of altered drawers:

Aren't they adorable?!?  I truly love the finished product here!!!

I started with a plain white storage piece from Michaels, and painted it with a Tim Holtz Dauber and Luminarte Silks Acrylic Glaze (Both from my March Kit at Frosted Designs!) for some shimmer!

I used mod podge to adhere the papers from the March kit at Frosted Designs to the inside and outside of the box and drawers!

I used trim from the kit and dyed it using the Pink Tim Holtz Distress Dauber.  I attached it down the center of each drawer and then added a brad directly in the center as my drawer pull.

I took the Fabscraps chipboard from the kit and clear embossed it with the tiny Prima Stamp clock and Versamark ink.  Then I added Lindy's Stamp Gang Mist over it for the desired color!

Once I finished and everything was dry, I added all my favorite "small mediums" to the recess in the top for easy access!!!

Here are some other "Spring Cleaning" projects I made with foam board from a previous post here!!!

So, for my hop challenge, I would like you to create ANY TYPE of ALTERED OR OFF THE PAGE PROJECT using the following color combo:

Once you have completed your project, please head back over to the CC website to upload your entry. Please tag your entry: SFBRANDI. The more you play, the better your chances of winning this great prize courtesy of Colorful Creations!

ANY PROJECT NOT PROPERLY TAGGED WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THE DRAWING!!!

Now head on over to Karen‘s blog and see the great challenge she has in store for you!

Remember you have to have your projects linked up no later than midnight, CST, March 29th

I used the Pink Paislee "Hey Kid" Kr8Kit" from Frosted Designs, which includes pattern papers and embellies for the card.  I also used my Epiphany Crafts circle punch and epoxy pieces to create the embellishment at the bottom of the card!
Here's a look:

I finished the card with a little twine and chipboard pieces from the set!!!

New Challenge at Frosted Designs with Authentique "Flourish"!!!!

Hello again my crafty friends!!!!  It's time again for another FABULOUS challenge over at Frosted Designs!!!!

"Scatter Sunshine" with Authentique "Flourish" Collection
This month, we are using an AMAZING sketch by our very own Lisa Hidy!!!
Here's a look at the sketch:

There is also a twist!!!  You MUST USE buttons and bling on your project!!!
Here is a layout I made using the new Authentique "Flourish" line in store:

I moved the sketch to the left of my page and went to work!  I created a die-cut using one of my Super8 punches and added some Tim Holtz Distress Glitter in small circles to the top and bottom.

I added several layers of the papers to coordinate with the sketch and then my photos!

I used various embellishments from the collection, as well as from the FD store!

I used the AdornIt wood veneers from last month's kit that says "Cherish" and painted it with the Tim Holtz and Luminarte Paints that were included in this month's kit!!!

I finished the page with various Kaisercraft blooms and hid some little white buttons underneath!!!

DON'T FORGET!!!!!!  Colorful Creations is having it's Spring Fling Blog Hop starting tomorrow:

And Frosted Designs is having our "Favorite Things" Blog Hop starting on the 21st (Friday!):

Well gang...  Thanks soooo much for stopping in and have a LUCKY day :-)

Spring Cleaning with Foam Board Storage!!!!

Hello there my crafty friends!!!!  I hope you are having beautiful weather like we are here in the sunshine state!!!

I came across this page the other day and it was talking about foam board storage.  NEVER, have I EVER, thought about that!!!!  I put it in my search engine and BAM!!!!!  TONS of crafty people just like myself have made alls sorts of organizational pieces for their craft area using foam board!!!!!  What an idea!!!

So, you know what comes next, right?!?  Yes... I went out and bought six pieces of foam board and got to work!!!  No, my pieces aren't perfect by any stretch of the imagination... It's a learning process indeed...But they are sturdy!!! VERY much so!!!!

I've been wanting to organize my Distress Inks for a while now.  I have tons of them and have them all laid out in rows.  The problem is that they take up soooo much space that way!!!! Well, not anymore :-)

Here's a look at my ever-so-crooked distress ink tower:

I even had a few spots left for some of my Staz On inks!!!  Now, this is not ALL of my inks.  Between my Stampin Up! pads, Memento, Staz On, Embossing Inks, and so forth, I could certainly use at LEAST one more of these!!!!  You have to make different ones for each brand of ink, depending on dimensions :-)

I even used my labeler to label each shelf with the respective ink:

I've been working with them long enough that I don't need swatches on the side.  I use these inks on EVERYTHING and am VERY familiar with each and every color I own :-)

Now, I said I purchased six boards, right?!?  So there was plenty left over to do something about my Spectrum Noir markers!!!  I built a piece about a year ago that consisted of three wine racks and several plastic cups.  It's held up just fine, but again, it's a matter of space (Of which I have very little!).  After making my first piece, I moved right on to the next one.  Here's a look:

I had one extra space that was a perfect fit for all of my Distress Markers as well!!!!

Well gang....  Thanks so much for stopping in and have a LUCKY day :-)

Everyday Moments for Colorful Creations!!!

Hello there my crafty friends!!!  It's been such a beautiful week here in the sunshine state!!!  Hope you're getting some good weather too :-)

"Enjoy Everyday" with Elle's Studio "Everyday Moments"
I thought I'd share a quick page with you for the new Colorful Creations sketch challenge using the new Elle's Studio "Everyday Moments" Collection from Frosted Designs!!!  Here's the sketch:

And here is my page:

This is a picture of me and my oldest daughter when she was just a toddler...  Boy, does time fly!!!
When I started this page, I knew just what I wanted to do for the background:  I cut out a 10inch circle, then added 1" strips of pattern paper from the collection in random areas.  Then I trimmed off the excess to create the "patchwork" like background!!!

I used one of my Super8 punches to create the doily die-cut, adding liquid pearls around the edge.  I matted my photo several times and outlined all the pieces with a black sharpie marker.

Then, I fussy cut the kraft "days of the week" banner from one of the papers and added Tim Holtz paper string to the top!  I made a rosette and topped it off with a Maya Road bling resin flower to finish the page!

Well gang...  Thanks so much for stopping in and have a LUCKY day :-)
