Handmade Masculine Birthday Card for Creative Embellishments!

Hello there crafters! Just popping in today with a masculine birthday card I made for my dad this month using lots of Creative Embellishment goodies :-)

Here's a look:

I started my card base with my usual Tim Holtz papers as I do for almost any masculine card! I used some distress ink and the Distressed Checkered Stamp to add some accents to my background :-)

I am absolutely LOVING these Basic Alphas so I can spell out anything I like!!! I misted the chipboard black first, then used a white chalk marker to make a "grey-ish" effect.

I used one of the gears from the Steampunk Antique Bike Set to add as an accent behind my "clock"! It was misted with Lindy's and inked with distress ink for my desired effect :-)

I finished by adding some layers in the inside as well... I always go all out for my daddy ;-)

Well gang... Thanks so much for stopping in and have a LUCKY day :-)

Wishes Come True with Heidi Swapp "Hello Today" Collection!

Hello there crafters!!!  Can you believe we are in the month of September already?!?  Seriously.... Where does the time ago?!?

I'm here today with a wonderful card sketch from Sketch N Scrap!
Here's this month's sketch:

And here is my card:

I've been having so much fun playing with the Heidi Swapp "Hello Today" Collection from the Frosted Designs Store!
I decided to use this sketch to make a birthday card for my sister :-)  I started with a Kraft base, layering up my papers and inking the edges along the way!  I added some acrylic starts to my card and wrapped some hemp cord around it to accommodate the sketch!
I used my Ephiany Crafts circle punch and a bottle-cap stamp to create the pendant (that is removable!).

I finished the card with a sentiment from Stampin Up! and some blue distress ink!

Well gang...  Thanks so much for stopping in and have a LUCKY day :-)

Handmade "Frozen" themed Invitations!

Hey there crafty neighbors!!!  I'm just popping in to share some adorable invitations I made for my daughter's birthday next month!

For the past few months she has insisted that she wants a "Bubble Guppies" party.  So, being the "crafty" mom I am, I spent hours creating cut files for Bubble Guppies invitations and party decor.  Then, like almost all four soon-to-be four year olds do, she changed her mind!  TRUE STORY!!!  Now, what kind of party does a four year old want these days?!  A Frozen party, of course!  So again, I spent hours creating cut files for a Frozen themed party using my new Cricut Explore and Design Space.  I absolutely could not be happier with the results!!!

Here's a look:

Aren't they just adorable?!?  I am in love with these cute little pop-up cards!
The detail on these snowflakes in AMAZING!!!!  I really don't know if there's another machine out there that can cut this intricately!  I mean, these flakes are probably smaller than a quarter!

The best part?  These fold up nicely to fit right into an envelope for mailing!  How cool is that?!?

Well gang...  Thanks so much for stopping in and have a LUCKY day :-)

It's a Wonderful Life at Sketch N Scrap!

Hello all!!!  Back again with another challenge for you over at Sketch N Scrap!

Here's a look at card sketch #29:

This sketch totally rocks!!!  The simplicity of the sketch means you can leave it as is, or dress it up as much as you like!
Here is my card:

I used an old Studio Calico 6x6 paper pad from my stash!  I was a little "iffy" at first but it's starting to grow on me!!!
I switched the sketch up a bit, flipping the long banner pieces and turning the card long-ways.  I added the sequins in the right place though!

I used Tim Holtz rub-ons for my sentiment piece that were included in this month's "Enchanted" kit over at Frosted Designs!

I added it all to a kraft base and called it a day!

Well gang...  Thanks so much for stopping in have a LUCKY day :-)

Card Sketch #20 at Sketch N Scrap with Heidi Swapp "Mixed Company"!!!

Hello all!!!  Guess what time it is?!?  It's time for another fabulous card sketch over at Sketch N Scrap!!!  Isn't that exciting?!?

"Hello Beautiful" with Heidi Swapp "Mixed Company"
Okay....  Here it is:

And here is a beautiful card I made for a very close friend:

I used the Heidi Swapp "Mixed Company" paper pad because the colors are just soooo pretty!!!!  I kept the card pretty simple as I didn't want to cover up too much of that beautiful paper!!!
I started off with my Martha Stewart paper punch to create the die-cut frame of the card.  Then, I used my scalloped circles die by Spellbinders and my Grand Calibur to create some die-cuts for the center piece.  I also used various circle punches and swiss dots embossing folder for texture.  I topped it off with some liquid pearls and a banner stamped with the word "beautiful"in ink by Stampin Up.
I inked the edges of everything with "Spun Sugar" Distress Ink.  I also got to use my spiffy Epiphany Crafts tool that my husband got me at Christmas Time.  I punched out a canvas piece by The Little Yellow Bicycle and added the epoxy atop of it.  Then, I mounted that to a beautiful charm piece that came with the tool.  I finished the charm by adding some twine that can be cut to remove it from the card!!!
Here is a close-up of the charm and sentiment:

Well gang....  Thanks sooo much for stopping in and have a LUCKY day :-)

Let's Get Sketchy... The Last!!!

And this is the last time you'll hear from me about the Let's Get Sketchy Blog Hop... I SWEAR!!! Well, it's over at midnight so I guess it will have to be!! I created one last card that I wanted to share with you... and then I'll leave you alone... Well, at least for a day or so!!! Hahaha!!!

Any who, here is my last entry.  I chose to create a card using inspirations from Lanette's Blog Hop photos.  She had this really cute card made with wonderful pattern paper and I just couldn't resist!!!

Here is her beautiful card:

And here is mine:

I had some scraps of some Stampin Up! paper that I hadn't used in a while and thought it perfect for the challenge!!! The paper is from the "Bandstand" kit and comes with little banner pieces and everything!!! The sentiment is a vellum quote by K&Company.  And that's a wrap!!!!!

Thanks again gang!! Have a wonderful night!
