Happy Halloween: Altered Mini Coffin and Steampunk Card!!!

Hello everyone and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!  This is big day here in the states and one of my favorite holidays of the year!!!!  I'm just popping in to share some projects I created this month for this splendid day :-)

This is a card I created for WCM over at Sketch N Scrap!  The challenge here was to create a Halloween card or card made using primarily orange (something I barely have at all in my stash!!!).  Here's a look:

Frosted Designs is also showing off some fabulous Halloween projects on the blog today!  I created an altered mini-coffin using the Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells collections!  Here's a look:

Well gang... Thanks so much for stopping in and have a LUCKY day :-)

Altered Witch Hat with Creative Embellishments Chipboard!

Hello everyone!!! I am so excited to announce that I am up on the Creative Embellishments Blog today with my first "solo" post!!! I've made a fabulous Halloween themed project to share :-)

Here's another look at this month's inspiration photo:

And here is my off-the-page project:

I am in love with this month's inspiration photo as Halloween is my favorite holidays to decorate for! I was, of course, inspired by the jack-o-lanterns, bats, and overall "spooky" set up in the background! I pulled some colors from the pic to create this altered witch's hat!
I first cut a rose from the "Giant Flowers" cart on my Cricut Explore. I distressed the flower (which started as regular pattern paper that was misted, inked, sprayed, and attacked with a ton of glitter!!!!) and edges of all the papers, as well as the chippies!

I used several 1 1/2 gears and inked them, misted them, then coated them with crackle distress paint in rock candy.

I applied the same treatment to the Flourish 15, using orange and black based distress inks and rock candy distress paint.

There you have it!  My first Halloween project of the year!!!!

Well gang... Thanks so much for stopping in and have a LUCKY day :-)

G45 Steampunk Spells with Creative Embellishments!!!

Hey there crafters!!!  Today is my first post with my new DT over at Creative Embellishments!!!

Here's a look at this month's inspiration photo:

Your challenge is to ALSO DISTRESS (any number of ways to accomplish this technique!  Feel free to use one, or all of them!

 And here is my project:

This is one of my all time favorite collection from Graphic 45!!!  Halloween is absolutely my most favorite holiday to decorate for so this challenge was "right up my alley"!!!
I started by layering up all my papers, distressing them with black ink along the way.  I added a fancy oval frame that was inked, misted, and coated with distress crackle paint in rock candy!  I added liquid pearls for accents :-)

I finished the card with a steampunk corner that was inked with Iced Spruce and Black Soot distress inks, as well as other embellishments from this collection!

My first Halloween card of the year!!!  You'll be seeing a lot more in just the next few days ;-)

Well gang... Thanks so much for stopping in and have a LUCKY day :-)
