Sending more love your way!!!!!

Hello again!  I have completed a few more challenges and I'd like to share them with you! Hope you enjoy :-)

I'll start with a challenge for the Blog Hop created by Tabitha.  This was an "inspired" challenge meaning you can create your project with inspiration from a photo.  You can use the colors, the theme.. whatever inspires you about it.
This is the "Inspiration" photo...

I LOVE the colors!!!! I decided to make a card for someone very special to me.  I started with a 5x7 white cardstock base and then started decorating.  I chose to make a gate fold card and punch the inner edges so I could lace up the front.  Then I added bright pink paper by K&Company on the bottom part of the card.  For the top, I added Recollections shimmer paper and embossed it with Tim Holtz embossing folder "Rays" (I LOVE how this paper embosses!!!!).  I laced up the front and left a gap so you can see the shiny teal paper on the inside.  I finished it by adding tropical stickers made by "Me and my Big Ideas".  I'm VERY impressed with my final product!!!!

Another challenge I made along the hop was for Brenshevia (Sheshe).  The challenge was to create a layout using a summer picture with the color combo provided.  These are the colors she chose...

Very nice and summery!!!! I made a layout using a picture of my oldest daughter when she was about 18 months old.  We purchased a large inflatable kiddie pool with a water slide and "waterfall".  This is her standing in front of the waterfall cooling off!!! The papers are a mixture of Echo Park, Recollections, and DCWV.  The embellishments are also from Echo Park and Recollections.
I used a sketch as inspiration that I found through Google.  The site is called Scrapbooks Etc..

This is the sketch...

And here is my lovely page!!!

I just loved the idea of adding all the circles!!!

And lastly, I also was able to finish another Guest Designer sketch at Colorful Creations.  Our guest designer  for this week is Kathleen Hernandez.  Stop by her blog and show some love!!!! Any who, this is the sketch I had to work with...

And here is the page I made!!!! My brother and I went Anna Maria Island back in 2009 along with my husband and daughter (of course!).  We don't have many pics together so I cherish the ones we do have.  The papers are Recollections and DCWV.  The embellishments are a mix from Recollections and K&Company.  I really like the feel of this page... Maybe it's because it's me and my brother :-)

Well, "That's All Folks"!!!!! Thanks for stopping by and have a LUCKY day :-)

Colorful Creations Blog Challenge

Okay, I will make this one quick!!! I completed a layout for Colorful Creations Blog which was the "end" of the blog hop map!  The challenge was to create a layout using 7 out of 10 "treasure hunt" items you picked up from all the blogs along the hop.  I was able to get in all ten!!!! This is me and my husband in Cozumel, Mexico on our honeymoon last year!

For the challenge, I had to include:
1) A flower
2) Lace
3) Something Blue
4) Ribbon (I used ric rak at the top)
5) Brads (the butterfly is a brad)
6) Buttons
7) Butterfly
8) Gem Stone
9) Cardstock (white... at the top behind the title)
10) Chipboard ("Vacation" title)

I'm in love with how this page came out!!!! I was scared to make a page with all these items on it and then it look cluttered but it came out very nice.  Thanks for stopping by!! Hope you enjoy and have a LUCKY day!!!!!

Blog Hop Galore!!!!!

Soooooo.... I've been super busy trying to keep up with Colorful Creations Summer Blog Hop!!!! I've completed a number of different projects so please take a moment to check things out!!!!

The first project on the list was to create a summer tag for Rachael's blog.  I also used a sketch for the tag from littlescrapbookshop as a challenge for Sketch Inspiration.
Here is the sketch...

And here is my Summer Tag!!!!!! I think it's so cute!!!!
I started with a standard No.8 tag and embossed it with the Cuttlebug Circles folder then inked it with Tim Holtz distress inks in Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, and Broken China.  I added some "beach" pattern cardstock and several "beachy" embellishments to give it that summer feel! I just love the little towel :-)

Another challenge on the list was to create a mini album for Anne's Blog.  THIS was a lot of fun!!!!! It's like several tiny scrapbook pages to create!!! I used spray adhesive to add pattern cardstock to cover the entire chipboard album.  Then I just went crazy!!!! Pics, stickers, embellis and more!!! Here are some pictures of it...

This is the front..                                                  And back...

Inside....

And this is the inside back cover...

Another FUN challenge I completed for Brenshevia were these super cute "popsicle" cards.  That's right... these are cards!!!! And VERY easy to make!  They would be great for birthday parties or any children's event.

Okay... this one is very special to me.  This is my youngest daughter still in the hospital after her birth in August of 2010.  Coming in at only 5lbs, the clothes appear a little big!  I made several rolled up flowers and added many more from various brands.  I used the new Lucky 8 punch to make the large die-cut and then inked the edges with Tim Holtz Victorian Velvet distress ink.  I painted several chipboard pieces and added them along with numerous die-cuts I made on the Cricut.  Papers are a mix of DCWV and Pink Paislee.  Thanks for stopping in!!!!! Hope you enjoy and have a lucky day :-)

Challenge Crazy!!!!!!!

Hey there Gang!!!!!!! I've been sooo super busy this week!!!! There are so many challenges I'm trying to complete AND keep up with the Blog Hop!!!!!! It's been pretty crazy!!!! Any who, I thought I'd share a couple of my projects with you  :-)
The first one is a combined challenge I completed for Colorful Creations and Simple Scrapper (http://www.simplescrapper.com/challenge/).  For Colorful Creations I had to complete a red, white, and blue layout using the sketch posted below.  I also had to tie in some starts and stripes.  For the Simple Scrapper challenge, I only had to make a page using red, white, and blue without making it "4th of July" themed.  Sooooo, I had my work cut out for me :-)
I started by using K&Company paper for the background (both the red and blue papers) and trimming the blue one to make a large die-cut.  I used another of the same red paper and cut it for the mat behind the top photo.  I matted the second photo with paper from Cloud9 Design.  I also used the Cloud9 paper to make a rosette (which I messed up slightly with the punch I used) and for the piece behind both of the photos.  The banner is also made from the same Cloud9 paper stack.  Then I added some ribbons and bows and voila!!!!! I completed both challenges in one!
Here is the sketch...

And here is my take on it... isn't she darling?!?!?!

The second project I completed was for another combined challenge with Colorful Creations and Sketch Inspiration (http://sketchinspiration.ning.com/).  The challenge at Colorful Creations was to create a Christmas in July page!!!! How fun!!!! I used sketch#329 from Sketch Inspiration to complete this page and I am VERY pleased with the results!!!! The papers are from Paper Pizazz and a Recollections "All Seasons" paper pad.  The embellishments are from various K&Company packs and the letters to make the title are from Recollections as well.
Here is the sketch...

And here is my page!!!!! Doesn't it just make you want to sing a Christmas tune????

And the lastly, I bring you a very special card I made.  My uncle's birthday is today and I am on my way to West Palm Beach to go see him (plus I can't turn down a good manicotti!).  He loves lighthouses so I figured this would be the perfect summer themed card!!!! I completed a Blog Hop challenge for one of our FABULOUS Design Team members over at Colorful Creations.  You can check out her and her amazing work at http://www.paperboutiquescrapbookingstudio.blogspot.com/.
The challenge was to make a project using the following criteria:
1. Cardstock
2. Something transparent or translucent (it can be vellum)
3. Remnants of pattern paper ( use your stash!
4. Bling ( see the fish eye)
5. Glitter (see the top of the waves) or Stickles
6. Create you title using a stamp
I started with a standard 5x7 card using white cardstock and covered the front using beach-wood pattern paper.  Then I took a beach theme pattern paper and cut out a piece to use as a picture for this cover (isn't it soo pretty?).  I matted the paper using white and tan cardstock, inking the sides for depth. The lighthouse, birds, and "buoy" string are from a Recollections pack I purchased at Michaels.  I added "bling" to the top of the lighthouse to mimic "light" and clear glitter glue to the buoys to tie in the "glitter" part of the challenge.  I also added "vellum" clouds to the top and a digi stamp as my title.  I colored the round stamp to look like a lifesaver!!!!!!! It turned out really neat!!!! Hope you enjoy... Thanks for stopping by and have a LUCKY day :-)

Cricut Princess Party

So I had to brag about the invitations I made for Maya's birthday party next month!!!! I purchased the "Princess Party" cartridge for the Cricut and had a BLAST playing with it!!!!! The invites came out so wonderfully!!!! I made the castle cut and layers with separate colors.  Then I embossed the top layer to add depth.  I used a paint brush and spread a VERY thin layer of clear glitter glue on the top of them to give it that "girly" look.  I printed the party info on vellum using MS Powerpoint so I could play with fonts and images.  Then I glued the vellum to several different pattern papers to mix things up a bit... Thanks for stopping by and have a LUCKY day :-)

Hey gang!!!!! Thought I'd say hello before I get into this CRAZY week!!!!! I brought you some pics to look at! Thanks for stopping by and have a LUCKY day :-)

Okay... The first layout I completed was a Guest Designer challenge over at Colorful Creations.  This is the sketch I had to work with....

And here is my creation!!!! This is my youngest daughter on her 1st birthday last year.  She was more interested in the balloons than anything else.  I had to overlap the photos so that they would fit on the page but the sketch pretty much stayed the same.  The papers are DCWV and Recollections.  Isn't she darling?!?!

The second page I finished was another sketch from Colorful Creations.  Unfortunately, the sketch has already been taken down and I didn't download it to my computer so I am unable to show you :-( I'm usually pretty good at keeping up with those things!  Anyway, I followed the sketch almost exactly, except that I added squares instead of circles to the right side of the photo.  This is me and my husband on Easter of 2009.  We had only been dating for a short while, but we were already inseparable.  I titled it "Love our Life".

I was also able to complete a card sketch from Sketches4All, and combine it with another challenge from Colorful Creations.  I'v posted the card sketch below as well as the "inspired challenge" photo.  With the inspired challenge, you are merely to draw your inspiration from the photo.  You may interpret it however you like.  I took the colors, the bow, the diamonds, and the shiny silver background to mimic the foil at the bottom of the cake.  Thanks so much for looking!!! Hope you enjoy :-)

Here is the sketch...

Here is the "inspired challenge" photo...

And here is my lovely card!!!!! I am super excited about the finished product!!!!

Also, don't forget to stop by this Friday and check out Colorful Creation's Summer Blog Hop!!!!!!! Have a great night :-)

Saturday, July 14, 2012

Hello gang!!! I was able to finish another page for my sister's album and completing the Blog Hop challenge over at Colorful Creations new Blog at the same time!!!! I'm sooo excited to share it!!!! As usual, hope you enjoy and have a LUCKY day!!!!.

Okay... I know.. another page from my sister's album... blah, blah, blah!!! I couldn't help myself with this challenge.  The NEW Colorful Creations blog has started back up and in full swing!!! They are having a challenge every month AND opportunities to win FREE scrapbooking items!!! It doesn't get much better than that!  Check them out at http://colorfulcreations2.blogspot.com/2012/07/colorful-creations-blog-challenge-1.html.
This month's challenge is a "recipe" challenge and requires the following items:
1. One photo
2. Some squares
3. Flowers
4. At least two types of lettering or fonts
I also decided to combine this challenge with another challenge from Sketch Inspirations (http://sketchinspiration.ning.com/).  They have weekly sketch challenges with various prizes as well.  This week's sketch # 328 looks like this...

For the challenge, I started by using cardstock from the DCWV Glam Girl stack which I purchased for the sole purpose of creating this album.  My sister's favorite color is purple so I always use a lot of it on the page :-) I cut down another paper from the stack and used a MS edge and border punch to make a smaller die cut.  The embellishments are from K&Company and Jolees, and the purple bling on the top is from Recollections.  The metal "2012" piece is actually a gift tag I purchased from Walmart.

I decided to move the sketch upward so the writing on the page would be visible.  Hope you enjoy guys!!! Thanks so much for stopping by.. Have a LUCKY day :-)

Friday, July 13, 2012

Okay... Finally had some sunlight today.. So I was able to get my pics in!!! Literally, i RAN outside as soon as the sun came up, shining so bright!!!!!! Oh, and Aunt Pam.... You'll want to see this one :-) Hope you enjoy and Have a LUCKY day :-)

The first page today is another page for my sister's "senior year" scrapbook.  I combined challenges from Colorful Creations and Sketches for all.  This was a sketch challenge at Sketches for all and the sketch is posted below.  For Colorful Creations, the challenge was called"Use your stash" and required you to use pattern paper, brads, a border punch, and alphas (all included).  This is a picture of my sister and her boyfriend.  At eighteen, we know it all!!! They are SOOOO in love :-)
The papers are from Recollections and Colorbok.  The large Alphas are from Cloud9 Design and the pearl swirlys  are from Recollections as well.
Here is the sketch.....

And here is my page!!!! My sister's favorite color is purple so you will see (and probably have seen) a ton of it on her pages!!!!

Okay... This next page is one of my favorites!!!! This is THE ONLY picture of my Aunt as a baby.  her mother suffered through a house fire, which destroyed all her personal items (such as photos of her children).  This picture was actually found by mistake as my aunt was changing a broken picture frame around a photo of her grandmother.  My Aunt has been a HUGE inspiration to me all of my life.  The quote on the top banner says "until the end of time" and the one at the very bottom (right) says "We must stop to THANK THE PEOPLE who have made a difference in our lives".  Both of them so true. Hope you have enjoyed my layouts!!!! Have a lucky day :-)

Saturday, July 7, 2012

Hola to all my followers!!! (All 10 of you!! Hahahaha) I was able to get little more crafting done the past few days and decided I'd share my wonderful creations with others!!!!! As usual, hope you enjoy and have a lucky day :-)

I'll start by showing a tag that made for a challenge over at Colorful Creations.  The challenge was to create a tag using blues, greens, and purples.  I started by embossing the tag with the "Make a wish" embossing folder by Sizzix and the borders with a dotted folder by Cuttlebug.  I inked the tage in layers using Tim Holtz distress inks in Shabby Shutters, Broken China, and Dusty Concord.  I went over  the dotted border with a blue paint pen to make it stand out a little more.  I topped it off with purple rhinestones, a little lace, and moon and stars embellishments.  I decided to make this for my mother as her birthday is later this month and she just LOVES "moon and stars" themed anything!

Next, I completed a Guest Designer Sketch Challenge for Romy Veul.  You can check out her blog here...

Here is the sketch I had to work with...

And here is my layout!  This is me and my youngest daughter on my husband's birthday of this year. Ain't she soooo cute???!!! The papers are by Recollections and the punches used are the Martha Stewart daisy punches (big and small).  The butterfly is actually decorative cardstock that I cut out and colored to match the theme of the page.  The metal piece says "You are mu sunshine" and there's a quote that's nearly impossible to see on the bottom that says "Girls, like butterflies, need no excuse"!!!

Another challenge at Colorful Creations was to create a page about "girlfriends".  Well, my younger sister happens to be one of the closest girlfriends I have.  She is AMAZING!!!! This is me and her on Halloween of last year.  We had a party and everyone dressed as pirates!  The paper is from DCWV seasons paper pad and all the smaller pieces you see are also from the same paper pad.  Nothing fancy here... But a fun page indeed :-)

And lastly, I bring to you a picture of my oldest daughter and myself at a local park in Lakeland earlier this year.  The papers are from various DCWV mat stacks and Recollections.  The quote at the bottom was printed onto vellum using various fonts, then I cut it out and different papers and put them together. It says " Take time to enjoy others to your heart's content"!!!!! Thanks for stopping buy guys!  Hope you enjoy :-)

Friday, July 6, 2012

Hello again!!! It's been a busy week with the holiday and all but I've managed to complete all of one page. I figured I'd share it with you !!! Hope you enjoy and have a LUCKY day :-)

Okay... Today I bring you a sketch from Colorful Creations.  The title of the series of challenges is called Twisted Blueprints.  This is the second challenge in the series.  The object, of course, is to follow the sketch, but use your own creativity.  Here is the sketch I had to work with... Made by our LOVELY Tabitha Triplett.  You can check out her blog here...

And here is my wonderful creations!!! This is me and my husband on a dinner cruise in August of last year.  The red paper is by Cloud 9 Design and the rest are from DCWV Bella Armoire paper stack.  The black borders on top and bottom are K&Company.  I also used the Martha Stewart "Daisy" punch for the black and white paper and a Recollections Flourish Dot deep edge punch for the borders on the photo.  The black and rhinestone border on the top piece of paper is actually from a flip-flop embellishment pack from Joanns.  When I saw it I instantly knew it would GREAT for a layout!!!! Well, that's all folks!!!! Hope you have a wonderful day :-)

Monday, July 2, 2012

Happy July everyone! Hope we are all ready for this fun-filled month!!!! Today I will reveal my project for Colorful Creations as well as others I've been working on. Hope you enjoy and have a LUCKY day :-)

First thing I'd like to show you is a sketch I finished by Marit Calles.  You can check out her blog here... http://ettkreativtkaos.blogspot.com/
Okay, here is the sketch...

And here is my take on it.  This is my oldest daughter and her friend about two years ago.  The picture was taken at my baby shower for my youngest daughter.  They are inside a bounce house we rented for the day.
For the challenge, I started with the "fern" paper by Recollections.  I used blue and green solid cardstock to mat the photo and added the blue flower cardstock in behind it.  I also used the blue and green cardstock to punch out the "leafy" border on each side of the photo.  I added some flowers and Studio G chipboard pieces.  The bird and "memories" saying is from K&Company.

Here is another sketch challenge from Colorful Creations.  This is from a new series of weekly challenges called "Twisted Blueprints".

And here is my layout!  This is my me and my husband in Nassau, Bahamas in September of last year. The papers are a combination of K&Company Colorbok.  The embellishments are from several different "vacation themed" packs.  The chipboards sayings are from K&Company's Sea Glass line and the big sun is actually a painted wood piece from Michaels!!!!

And finally.... here is my FIRST ever challenge as a Design Team Member for Colorful Creations!!!!!!!!  I've named my "series" of challenges "Creative Monthly Projects".  They will consist of challenges that require some form of tutorial, viral or otherwise.  My first project is to incorporate rosettes (one or more) on the layout.  I included the video tutorial previously on the Blog but I will include it again for those who have missed it.  I had a lot of fun with this one!!! This is my husband on his birthday this year. The papers are a combination of Recollections, DCWV, and Colorbok.  I also used the same Fiskars border punch below the photos as I used on the rosettes.  I just love how bright and cheery this page came out!!! Hope you've enjoyed your stay here!!!!! Have a great night :-)
